Performers include:

David Basse: More than a vocalist, David Basse’s voice has come to represent the jazz and blues of Kansas City. The Kansas City Star called him, “The voice of Kansas City”. And following a David Basse performance, poet Maya Angelou exclaimed, “I love the soul that is your voice”. Since the turn of the century David has hosted The Jazz Scene on Kansas Public Radio, winning the Kansas Association of Broadcasters award. KPR’s jazz department was awarded, “Best Jazz Station – Small Market,” from Jazzweek. In 2010, David became a regular featured performer on 12th Street Jump, public radio’s weekly jazz, blues and comedy jam, now heard in over 100 cities. His latest venture is the syndicated daily radio show, Jazz with David Basse.

Ronald McFadden: Ronald McFadden is part of world renown “McFadden Brothers” along with his brother Lonnie who were born and raised right here in Kansas City, MO. The McFadden Brothers are world-class entertainers whose career spans across many countries and venues. Their unique style and abilities have earned them the label as being a “triple threat,” in that they are both accomplished singers, tap dancers and musicians. Ronald’s smooth and lustrous voice is one that soothes the soul. His dancing style has that silken touch. Exhibiting a wide range of steps from soft-shoe to street-corner moonwalking. Topped off by effortless-looking, but extremely difficult instrument playing. Ronald affectionately known as Ronnie has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in show business; Wayne Newton, Sammy Davis Jr., Lee Greenwood, Gladys Knight and The Count Basie Orchestra to name a few. Entertaining since he was in elementary school, learning licks from his father, Kansas City hoofer (Tap Dancer) and all around entertainer Smilin’ Jimmy McFadden. His Dad, danced with the likes of “The Count Basie Orchestra,” “Blanche Calloway’s Harlem Review,” and “Jay McShann.” In 2008, The McFadden Brothers released their first CD entitled “Chapter One,” a compilation of many of the songs their fans had been asking them to record for years. They are presently in the process of recording their second CD which will be entitled “Chapter Two.” This will be a compilation of all original compositions that fans have requested. Keep an eye out for their new venture next year "The McFadden Brothers 18th & Vine Experience."

Jen Harris: Poet Jen Harris is a Kansas City-based Spoken Word Poet, Women's Rights and LGBT activist, published author, founder and host of KC Poetry Slam. She is the recipient of the 2015 UMKC Jim Wanser Pride Award for outstanding LGBT community activism in Kansas City. She has opened for internationally-acclaimed spoken work poet Andrea Gibson at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and produced shows for contemporary, published poets including Clementine Von Radics, Pages Matam, and Alexander Dang, as the Slammaster of Kansas City's first PSi certified poetry slam, PoUnd SLAM in addition to performing across the country at music festivals, private shows, on college campuses, LGBTQIA community centers, women's rights empowerment groups, protests and rallies, poetry readings, living rooms, parking lots, city sidewalks and anywhere else her voice can make a positive impact.

Ash Allee: Ash R. Allee is a trans-masculine, queer activist and Social Worker in Kansas City. During the day, Ash works as a Linkage to Care Coordinator at the KC CARE Clinic, linking newly diagnosed HIV positive individuals to medical care.
